Conductor Rin-Jong Yang
Maestro Rin-Jong Yang, one of the most prominent conductors of South Korea,
has extensive experiences of conducting Symphonic Orchestras in various countries.
Having a vast repertoire ranging from Baroque Music to Contemporary Music.
He focus to conduct with the composer's authentic interpretations, and has talent of delivering the power and pleasure of music to his audience.
He was Visiting Professor of University of British Columbia, Professor of Yeungnam University, SWU and including faculty of NEC and USC.
In past, domestically, he had been the conductor of the Suwon Philharmonic
Orchestra for seven and half years.
Internationally he has been Guest Conductor of Brasov Philharmonic of Brahms, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Beethoven, and Tchaikovsky Festival Programs.
Also he has been the guest conductor of Kiev Chamber, Romanian National George Enesco Philharmonic, Slovakia State Philharmonic Kosice for Mahler Symphony No. 1 "Titan", Czech Janacek Philharmonic, Poland Chopin Symphony, Roma Nova Amadeus, Ashidod Chamber, Kazakstan State Chamber and Kazak National Symphony Orchestra, Swiss Zurich Symphony Orchestra at the Ton Halle, Israel Jerusalem Camerata in Tell Aviv and Jerusalem, Ukraine National Symphony, Kharkov Philharmonic, Canada University of British Columbia Symphony for "Petrushika" at Chan Centre, Oradea Philharmonic for "Picture at an Exhibition", Venezuela Youth Orchestra... etc.
Dr. Yang published 18 CDs with various world Ochestras. As an Opera lover, he has conducted Korean Operas, Verdi Operas in Italy, Constanta, and Romanian National Opera in Bucharest such as Traviata, Nabucco.. etc.
As a Professional Violinist and Violist Dr. Yang has performed at the Carnegie Hall with Pianist Raymond Dudley with the Columbia Arts Fund, Suntory Hall in Japan, and Third International Viola D'Amore Congress.
He holds a Doctor of Music Degree in Conducting (1991), and Performance DMA (1986) both from University of South Carolina.
He also studied at the Manhattan School of Music, University Massachustees
of Lowell, Seoul National University, and Harvard University for Advanced Choral Conducting.
He was guest conductor of the Sansepolcro International Symphonic Festival in Italy with two Gershwin Program, and the Czech Janacek International May Festival. |
