서울필하모닉은 1991년, 참신하고 실력 있는 연주자들에 의해서 탄생되었으며 대중 속에 사랑 받는 정통 오케스트라 라는 취지 아래 매년 다양하고 짜임새 있는 연주회를 개최하여 지금은 국내 정상의 오케스트라로 지금은 한국의 대표적인 민간 순수 정통 클래식 오케스트라로 성장하였습니다. 울타리를 두르지 않은 넓은 들판처럼 누구든 음악을 즐길 수 있도록 문을 열어 놓은 오케스트라! 바로 서울필하모닉의 얼굴 입니다. 매년 100여 회의 연주 중 10차례의 정기연주회를 통해 품격 높은 곡을 엄선 연주하여 클래식 애호가들에게 호평을 받고 있으며 정기연주회, 신인발굴음악회, 아티스트페스티벌 등을 통하여 클래식 음악을 이끌어 나갈 신인을 위한 기회를 제공하고 근로자를 위한 공단방문음악회, 장애인을 위한 자선음악회, 시민을 위한 거리음악회, 금난새와 함께 하는 오페라 여행, 어린이를 위한 음악동화, 환경 음악회, 캐주얼데이클래식 등 다양한 기획공연을 개최하여 클래식 대중화를 주도하고 있습니다. 필두에서 국내 클래식 음악계를 이끌어 가는 당당한 오케스트라로 세계를 지휘하는 일류가 되기 위해 단원모두의 열정이 빛을 발하고 있으며 제2의 음악적 도약기인 새 천년의 시대를 맞이하여 국내의 꾸준한 활동은 물론 전 세계인이 주시할 해외 연주회를 개최해 아름다운 음악을 만들고자 노력하고 있습니다. 새 천년의 서울필하모닉의 선율은 국내 및 세계 모든 이들에게 아름다운 감동을 전달할 것입니다. ● An Orchestra that Keeps in Tune with the Public at the Center of Art The Seoul Philharmonic was born by Kim Bong, an ex-cellist conductor, and original and excellent musicians in 1991. With the aim of an ‘Authentic Orchestra Loved by the Public’, the Seoul Philharmonic has given various and well-organized concerts and grown up as the nation’s top and representative authentic classic orchestra passing its 1,400th concert mark. ● Unfolding the Movement of Symphony in Various Ways The Seoul Philharmonic is opened for everybody to enjoy music, like an unfenced spacious field. With its careful selection of music of high style and concertizing of more than 80 times every year, the orchestra is being well received by classical music lovers. Through “Regular Concert”, “Concert to Discover New Musicians” and “Artist Festival”, the orchestra offers the opportunities for new musicians who will lead classical music, and holds various planning concerts including “Industrial Complex Visit Concert” for workers, “Charity Concert for the Disable”, “Free Concert for Citizens”, “Opera Tour with Geum Nan-sae”, “Musical Fairytale for Children”, “Environment Concert” to awaken the value of environment, “Coex Classical Music Concert” and “Musical Travel with Commentary” to lead popularization of classical music. ● An Authentic Orchestra Growing into the World In order to become a prestigious orchestra commanding the world as well as a noble leader of the classical music circles in the nation, the Seoul Philharmonic reorganized its structure with the leading of An Dang in 1998.
